Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston (EGMH) proudly joined the global community in celebrating International Museum Day on Sunday, May 18, 2025 with a day filled with inspiration, education and unity. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd and was a tremendous success, further solidifying EGMH’s role as cultural and educational pillar in the Houston Community. EGMH would like to extend special thanks to the Houston Chronicle for helping promote this event and amplifying our mission to wider audience.
Throughout the day, the museum’s parking lot was at full capacity, as visitors flocked to experience the exhibits. In fact, the museum saw a record number of attendees, excluding school field trips, and the Gift Shop also achieved its highest sales to date. The EGMH team is deeply grateful to all those who visited and expressed such enthusiastic support.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the day was hearing visitors express their appreciation for the museum’s presence in Houston. Below are a few remarks shared by attendees:

In addition to our regular staff, EGMH was fortunate to have a dedicated team of over a dozen volunteers who were essential in making the day a success. From leading docent-led tours to assisting visitors with gift shop purchases and providing additional information about the exhibits, their support was invaluable.
