Sundaresan “Sesh” Bala is a Houstonian since 1971. He migrated to the US in 1966 from Chennai, India as a graduate student at University of California, Berkeley. He then worked for Shell Oil Company for 35 years, reaching senior management levels, and retiring in 2002. Since retirement, Sesh is involved in volunteerism and community service, bringing his corporate experience to benefit several small non-profit organizations. He has organized the annual Gandhi Walk for Peace since 2006. He was President of Daya, serving on its board for 15 years. He is on the Boards of Classical Arts Society and Samskriti. He has served on the Boards of the Indo American Charity Foundation, Sri Meenakshi Temple, Houston Greeters and Richmond State Supported Living Center among others. Sesh and his wife Prabha are active supporters of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Asia Society. Their son Vikram and his wife Thara have one son, Rohan.

Sanjay Jain is a native of New Delhi and a Civil Engineer from IIT Delhi. Brought up in a religious family, he has deep rooted belief in Ahimsa and is a practicing vegetarian. He completed an MS at LSU- Baton Rouge. After working on the Space Station program and Petro Chemical software, he moved into Healthcare IT and retired from Cerner Corporation as Chief Architect of RIS/-PACS integration systems. Sanjay and his wife Dr. Renu Jain began volunteering at Arya Samaj in 1994, when their older son began attending DAV Sanskriti School. Since then they have had many roles in the management committee of Arya Samaj. With the founding of MGL, Sanjay came in touch with Atul Kothari and found the MGL’s mission noble and consistent with his values. He became a volunteer with the speech contest in 2005 and has since coordinated Speech and other contests and chaired Shraddanjali and 1000 Lights for Peace.

G V Krishnan Houston is a highly accomplished individual known for his expertise in the field of education and entrepreneurship. He migrated to US in 1980 from Hyderabad, India as a graduate student at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He then worked for University of Houston – Downtown for over 33 years and retired as Executive Director, Continuing Education in 2022.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Krishnan is also known for his philanthropic endeavors. He believes in giving back to the community and has been actively involved in various charitable initiatives focused on education and social welfare. He is a member of Rotary Club University Area since 2012 and was the club President in 2019-20. He is also serving as a Board Member and Vice-President for Texas Fire Fighters Home.
Kamalkishor Shah

Kamalkishor (Kamal) Shah is a retired Professional Engineer. He retired as a Vice President of Technology
from IHI E&C, Houston (Tokyo, Japan based company) in 2019, where he worked for IHI and its
predecessor companies last 35 years. Previously he worked for Key Engineering in Houston as a chief
Process Engineer and as R & D Engineer for Dow Badische in Freeport, Texas. He is a holder of various
U.S. Patents in the field of energy technology. He received his BS and MS degrees in Chemical
Engineering from Michigan State University in East Landing, Michigan. In addition to his professional
engineering services, he also owned and operated restaurant businesses in Houston area. He has been
living in Texas since 1975.
After retirement he has devoted full time in community services in Houston area. At present he devotes
his time in voluntary community services at SCORE, Houston (a non-profit national organization) as a
‘Certified Mentor’ providing mentoring services in promoting growth of small businesses in Houston
area. He also provides voluntary services at Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston promoting peace through
Truth and Non-Violence.
