Join the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston as we celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 157th Birth Anniversary at our annual 1000 Lights for Peace — an evening of performances, speakers, and shared light.

Each year this gathering brings our community together in the way Gandhi believed change begins: not with grand gestures, but with many small lights carried by many hands. Musicians, dancers, and speakers from across Houston’s cultural, faith, and civic communities share the stage in a celebration of peace, nonviolence, and service. The evening opens with a reception, continues with our main program and awards, and closes with dinner on the patio.
