The museum is open to the public during regular weekday hours. Special rates available for seniors, active military, students, groups of 10 or more, and school field trips.

What to Expect Inside the Museum 

The museum provides a contemplative and educational environment designed for reflection and learning. Self-guided tours are standard; guided tours are available upon request and subject to docent availability.

Visitor Guidelines 

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, visitors are asked to observe the following guidelines: 
Speak softly and behave courteously in gallery spaces 
Follow posted signage and staff instructions

Disruptive behavior may result in a request to leave the museum. 

Photography & Recording 

Non-flash photography for personal use is permitted unless otherwise indicated. Flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, and professional equipment require prior approval. Commercial photography or recording is not permitted without written permission. 

Food, Beverages & Personal Items 

Food and beverages are not permitted in exhibit galleries. Large bags or backpacks may be subject to inspection or storage requirements. Smoking, vaping, and tobacco use are prohibited on museum premises. 

Group Visits & School Programs 

The Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston welcomes groups of all kinds for meaningful, education-centered experiences rooted in Gandhi's teachings of truth, nonviolence, peace, and service — fostering reflection and dialogue among learners of all ages.

Safety & Security 

Emergency exits must remain unobstructed at all times. Visitors are encouraged to report any safety concerns to museum staff. The museum is not responsible for personal items that are left unattended or lost on the premises.
