The Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston hosts lectures and talks that deepen understanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy, and global legacy. These programs extend the museum experience beyond the galleries, creating space for dialogue, reflection, and thoughtful engagement with the enduring relevance of nonviolence. 

Purpose of the Lecture Series

Public Talks & Conversations 
Featuring scholars, historians, authors, and public intellectuals who offer in-depth perspectives on Gandhi, nonviolent movements, and ethical leadership. 
Special Commemorative Programs 
Lectures and reflections held in conjunction with significant observances, including Gandhi Jayanti, Martin Luther King Jr. commemorations, and the International Day of Nonviolence. 
Educational & Community Dialogues 
Programs developed for students, educators, and community groups that support learning through discussion and shared reflection. 
Lectures Complementing the Museum Experience

Lectures and talks are closely aligned with the museum’s exhibits and interpretive themes. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Exhibits before or after attending a program, participate in Guided Tours for deeper historical context, and use the Digital Guide to continue learning beyond the event.
