Facility Rental FAQ

Events that align with the museum’s mission of education, reflection, and community engagement are welcome. These include lectures, seminars, receptions, and celebrations. Political or fundraising events are not permitted. 

Complete the Facility Rental Interest Form. After review, a museum representative will contact you regarding availability, policies, and next steps.

After submitting the Facility Rental Interest Form and receiving approval, a $200 deposit is required to secure the date. 

Events may be scheduled Tuesday through Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. 

Yes. Tours of the rental spaces are available by appointment. 

EGMH offers on-site parking, including handicap-accessible spaces. Parking is shared with museum visitors. 

Three hours before the event are allotted for setup, and two hours after the event are allotted for teardown. 

Additional time may be requested based on staff availability and may incur additional fees. 

To maintain a respectful environment, alcohol, non-vegetarian food, smoking, open flames, fireworks, sparklers, fog machines, and bubbles are not permitted. Flower petals may be used outdoors at the conclusion of a ceremony. 

Yes. Free-standing decorations are permitted. Adhesives, confetti, glitter, and open flames are not allowed. All decorations must comply with museum guidelines. 

Renters may be required to provide liability insurance naming the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston as an additional insured. 

Yes. Caterers must comply with all museum rental policies and guidelines. 

Yes. Photography sessions not associated with a booked event require a separate day-use agreement and fee.
