Ways to Give

The Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston offers several ways for individuals, families, corporations, and foundations to support its mission of preserving and sharing the life, legacy, and values of Mahatma Gandhi.

Honorary & Memorial Giving
Donations may be made in honor of an individual or in memory of a loved one, providing a meaningful way to recognize values, milestones, and legacies.
Corporate & Foundation Giving

Corporations and foundations are invited to support the museum through sponsorships, educational initiatives, and mission-aligned partnerships.

Direct Contributions

One-time and recurring gifts provide immediate and sustained support for museum programs and operations.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from an IRA

Donors aged 70½ or older may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston. A QCD allows donors to direct up to $100,000 annually from an IRA to a qualified charity, potentially satisfying Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) obligations.

QCDs must be made directly from the IRA custodian to the museum to qualify. Donors are encouraged to consult with a tax or financial advisor.

IRA Beneficiary Designations

Donors may name the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston as a beneficiary of an IRA, offering a tax-efficient way to support the museum through estate planning.

Endowment Giving

Contributions to the Endowment Fund provide long-term financial stability and help preserve the museum’s mission for future generations.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts help ensure the museum’s future and may include bequests, trusts, or other long-term charitable arrangements.
