Lone Star College-Cy Fair Library, a Harris County Public Library branch, will host “Gandhi Darshan” (Glimpses of Gandhi) exhibition from November 3, 2018 through December 1, 2018.

The year-long celebrations of Gandhi Sesquicentennial will be held from October 2018 to October 2019 celebrations. Gandhi’s 150th birthday anniversary falls on October 2, 2019.

The initiative is an exploration of nonviolence and the resonance of Mohandas Gandhi’s philosophy by Houston’s cultural, educational, faith based, non-profits and social justice organizations.

A number of initiatives have been started, namely, local Restaurants offering a Vegetarian “Gandhi Special” during this year, Book Club initiative wherein book clubs will read and discuss Gandhi’s autobiography, Exhibition initiative where National Gandhi Museum’s “Glimpses of Gandhi” exhibition will be displayed at various locations and much, much more.
