The lay Jain spiritual teacher Shrimad Rajchandra profoundly influenced many of Gandhi&#8217;s beliefs and practices, from celibacy in marriage to ideas about non-violence.<\/p><p>In a moving tribute to the eternal spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and the historic Salt March that ignited India\u2019s quest for independence, Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji,\u00a0a revered spiritual leader and follower of Shrimad Rajchandra, visited the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston on March 12<sup>th<\/sup>. Accompanied by fifty devotees, the Guru\u2019s visit coincided with the 94<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of Gandhi\u2019s momentous Salt March, a seminal event in India\u2019s struggle for freedom.<\/p><p>The Guru\u2019s entourage, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, converged upon the museum with a shared sense of reverence and curiosity. As they traversed the museum gallery, the air resonated with whispered prayer and introspective conversations.<\/p><p>His visit to EGMH stands as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of spirituality and social responsibility. It underscores the importance of honoring our collective heritage while embarking on a quest for personal and societal evolution.<\/p><p>It was a unique honor and pride for EGMH to host such a distinguished dignitary. EGMH is truly grateful to Pujya Gurudevshri Rakesh ji to find time in his busy schedule to visit the museum.
